For COG Pro users
COG Pro is closing. Save your records first.
COG Pro has announced that the COG Pro Notebook will cease service on December 31, 2026. Your records are part of your certification history. Export them now, while you can still log in.
What to do before December 31, 2026
- Export every list as a spreadsheet (CSV). In COG Pro, open each list you use: fields, crops, seeds, inputs, fertility, tillage, weed control, pest control, harvest, sales and equipment. If you use them, include livestock and GAP too. Click Output Options → Export. COG Pro saves one CSV file per list. Do this for every year you keep records.
- Save your certification reports as PDF. Run COG Pro's organic certification reports, both baseline and activity, for each year. When each one opens, use your browser's Print command and choose Save as PDF. The PDFs keep some details the spreadsheets leave out.
- Collect your attachments separately. COG Pro's spreadsheet export doesn't include attached files. Make sure you have your own copies of seed and input labels, organic certificates, maps and water tests.
- Keep the original files unchanged, in two places. For example, your computer and a cloud drive. Opening and re-saving the CSVs in Excel can change them, so keep an untouched copy.
Bring your COG Pro history to Organic Assistant
We're building a COG Pro import. You'll upload the CSV files you exported, and your crop records will come in as Organic Assistant records. We'll keep your livestock and GAP records exactly as they were, ready to view and print, so nothing from COG Pro gets left behind.
Leave your email below and we'll tell you the day the import opens.
What Organic Assistant does today
Organic Assistant keeps your farm records and helps you build your Organic System Plan, with answers grounded in the USDA organic regulations. You and your crew can log work by text, voice or photo, and the records are organized for your inspector.

How to export your records from COG Pro
- Log in at cog-pro.com with your COG Pro user name and password.
- Open a list, for example Activity Records → Fertility. Set the date filter to cover the whole year, or clear it.
- Click Output Options, then Export. Your browser downloads a CSV file. Repeat for every list in the Crops, Livestock and GAP tabs you use, and for every year.
- Go to Regulatory Reports → Organic Certification Reports. Run the baseline and activity reports for each year, and save each one as a PDF with your browser's Print command.
- Download or gather the original files you attached to records. The CSV export doesn't include them.
- Store everything in at least two places, and keep the original files unchanged.
Certifiers and inspectors: feel free to share this page with farmers who keep their records in COG Pro.
